A great 'lost' Lennon / McCartney song...or perhaps I should say...a 'lost', Paul Mc Cartney song. Either way, it's a great song. Check out Cilla Black's version too.

Major Snagg is the invented name of the 'band' that perform all my own musical creations. (songs and instrumentals). I play guitars, bass, rudimentary keyboards, harmonica, and sing. Melody has always been important to me... lyrics and guitar solos have to say or communicate something. I create musical worlds that I hope that you dear listener, will also want to explore and live in for a few moments...or longer if you feel that way inclined.

Story behind the song
This is another 'lost' Beatles song. Mostly (or probably exclusively) written by Paul Mc Cartney I would guess. It was 'given' to Cilla Black to record, who had a top 10 hit with it. The Beatles never recorded it as far as I know. Although, there may be some demos. Well respected Soundclick 'Beatles Fan', Tony Delecce helped me knock this into shape. So he's receiving joint arrangement credits for this, as well as a huge thankyou from me, for his great lead vocals. Thanks Tony.

Magnificent vocals of you both!!!! The guitar playing is amazing. Brilliant work. Yes, This is sometimes a Ghost Town here on Soundclick. Many of them do not bother logging on anymore and that is sad. I miss them , as well.

I'll be honest never heard this Beetles song before but can hear their signature sound in it. Superbly performed by the both of you. Well done in recreating this so well.

Very cool rendition of this tune. I've never been aware of it before. Mysterious sounding and with a nice flair for early Brit pop.

I once heard a Cilla Black version of this and didn't really feel it suited her style. But this version is fantastic - very Beatlesque, along with yours and Tony's special touch of magic. Enjoyed it a lot, very soulful and atmospheric, great job on the vocals and guitar work. I imagine not an easy song to sing. Glad you found this little gem, your cover is excellent.
