Evan Paul is a very unique artist. His music is totally original, multi-genre, mostly acoustic, new age, easy listening, uplifting and spiritual.
I'm a Canadian songwriter musician and have recently released my first CD, "Spirits in the Sky". It's an instrumental, classical guitar album with sweeteners such as flute and strings. After decades of performing in various bands and as solo, I have finally settled on recording and writing, and only playing live ocasionally. Result, is a sweet, easy listening and spiritually uplifting work that defies any genre placement. It's pure acoustic and very melodic. Also, one will notice vocal songs and collaborations with various world artists. Presently, my latest CD "Eklektika" is active. It's one of the most original multi-genre instrumental album ever created. Unlike my previous, "Spirits in the Sky" collection, this one has percussion, a little more punch, but still retains that Evan Paul style of classical guitar playing. Enjoy!!!

Many moons ago, we had a place called Indiehangout where a bunch of us artists, hung out, chatted, listened to Internet radio in it's infancy and had a hell of a lot of fun. Facebook kind of took that away from us...sad. This is a song I wrote and recorded featuring one of my friends, Scrub, of Scrubradio where I was a DJ also. I miss those days, we had so much fun.

WINTER BLAH BLUES Evan Paul Kozaris The winter's here, someone stoled the sun, The air is cold, and I'm on the run, Daytime job is getting me down, All through the day, I've been wearing a frown, Lately I don't know what's come over me, But I feel so blue, and that's not me, I need direction, a feel for change I've got my life to re-arrange, Yea, My thoughts are dim, I feel the chill, And sometimes I feel, I'm over the hill, I even took an Indie hangout break, I thought it for the best, for everyone's sake, My mind is fried I don't what to do, My music's not flowing, like it should, My friends they tell me, I'm one of the best, But I didn't win a IOMA and I'm depressed. So I checked in with the DJs at Scrubradio chat, They were pulling all these strange tunes, right out of a hat, I said, "Hey Scrub, what up man?" "Let's go on Skype", "My fingers are sore and I can't type," "Hey Scrub? You there man?" "Yea Evan, what up man?" "Well I've been feelin' kinda down lately, what'd you think about all this stuff?" "Well," "Hey Evan, ma man, it don't mean you're bad, What about the others? Are they also sad? All of this hype can lead to a lot of stress, It doesn't mean they love you, any less. Really man, I'm sorry you're down, Just smoke a joint, you'll come around, I just rolled a fatty with my girl Scrubette, I got me a beer, and I'm all set. (I guess there's no harm in trying) Cough....(a little harsh) (what kind of shit is this?) (I think it's working) For once in his life, I think Scrubby was right, I see it now, under a different light, Tomorrow comes, a brand new day, And all of my blues will have gone away, Yea.....

Hi Evan, WOW! You blew me away on this one so different than anything I have ever heard you do. Loved it. Hilarious and the lyrics you must be living my life well except for the joint part. LOL! But anyway I really enjoyed it going to kick it again. Welcome back!

Ha ha ha... this is such a great song! :D You really do different styles. So much playing enjoyment in it. Then the lyrics... so ingenious. First so well-put words to describe the setting and then that rough dialogue ending up in "just smoke a joint!" And it's always true when life is dark: "Tomorrow comes, a brand new day, and all of your blues will have gone away".

Hi Evan, Wonderful job on the tune Evan !~! Loved the lyric conversation between you and Scrub. Story line gets down right comical 3/4 into the lyric. I think you...and Scrub had a whole lotta fun on this one...and is generally quite different for your style and feel. Nice choice of instrumentation too (not to little...not to much)...really brings it all together. Vocals...guitar work...harmonica...keys all balance so very well. Excellent musicianship Evan. Anyone listening to "Winter Blah Blues"...just has to love the story conversation -:) On first listen ??....I loved it and it truly made me laugh out loud 3/4 into the lyric -:). That...hooked me for my 2nd, 3rd and 4th listen. Hope others take the time to listen. It's a very well written and performed song. All my best, Ron S

You may be gone but never forgotten Evan. Your songs are pretty much still in the top 10 in every genre you ever posted them in. This tune is a definite departure from all your other stuff...but I still found it an enjoyable listen . Good guitar, organ, harp..and the lyric was downright humorous! I can almost see the guy hittin' on that doob. Great to hear from you again and looking forward to your next post.

great to have you back. this is a cool song. like the lazy feel, the instrumentation fits the lyrics like a glove. well written and performed.
